Xiaomi starts rolling out MIUI 8.5.4.0 Android 7.0 Update to Redmi Note 4 Smartphone in India

Xiomi has seen a good success with its Redmi note 4 in India. In fact, it became one of the best selling devices in the country in the recent past. The handset was launched in India with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with MIUI 8 on the top. The device was priced at Rs. 9,999 and was launched earlier this year in the month of January. Now the company has decided to roll out Android 7.0 Marshmallow to this device along with MIUI 8.5.4.0 NCFMIED OTA update as nightly built which the company calls as Beta Stable release before pushing the final update.
The new update will bring many change logs, which include Support for exFAT SD cards, Separate App locks for Dual apps, Option for hiding the content of notifications on the Lock screen and Verification SMS are shown on the Lock screen only after the Lock screen password is entered. These are some major updates that we can observe apart from other minor change logs.
Few other change logs like Renaming albums, Slide to browse wallpapers, pausing ongoing backups, Custome groups for albums with people, Redesigning the Music app, Exporting reminders from Calendar, Calculating discounts, separate updates for the system apps and much more which you can check by heading to the source link given below. The user needs to make sure that the device is backed up before updating to the new software.

The size of the update is 1.3GB in size which will be available for random users and the stable built is expected to be rolled out soon once the testing phase is completed. XIaomi is also asking for a feedback who received the update and you can also try out this Beta version.
