LeEco-owned Coolpad has launched a new smartphone called Note 5 Lite C today in India. The Note 5 Lite C is priced at Rs. 7,777 and will be available in Grey and Gold color options. Earlier to this, the company launched the Coolpad Note 5 and Coolpad Note 5 Lite exclusively through Amazon India. Now, the new Note 5 Lite C is only sold through offline stores starting tomorrow, August 5th. As of now, the offline availability is only limited to the eight Indian states including Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi NCR, and Haryana.



The Note 5 Lite C is also the first Coolpad smartphone to run on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. It comes with a metal body with three capacitive navigation buttons. On the front is a 5-inch display offering HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz and comes coupled with Adreno 304 GPU. It also packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD slot for expanding the storage additionally up to 64GB.

The camera department includes an 8MP autofocus camera on the rear with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. For selfies, there is a 5MP sensor on the front with the same f/2.4 aperture. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for using with the Jio 4G SIM. It is backed by a 2,500mAh non-removable battery that is rated to last up to 240 hours on standby. On the rear of the device, we can also spot the circular fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.
It measures 142.4 x 70.4 x 7.95 mm and weighs 139 grams. At a slightly higher price, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite offers 1 gig extra RAM and better camera sensors. However, the user has to opt for online shopping to purchase the Note 5 Lite. Coolpad also confirmed to launch a new flagship smartphone exclusively through Amazon India on August 20th. Having said that, how many of still opt for offline shopping just to get a hands-on feel of the phone.
