Huawei To Show Off Its Mobile AI On September 2nd During IFA 2017

Europe’s largest technology trade show IFA is all set to start by the end of this month. Just like every year, we are hoping to see a ton of manufacturers entering the show and showcase their products and services. Amongst all the manufacturers Huawei is one OEM which we see every year on the trade show and this year as well, it looks like the company has a lot of new things to show off.
It has been reported that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer will showcase it AI efforts to the world at the trade show in Berlin. Yes, the same has been confirmed by the company’s tweet which is nothing but a teaser video. The video says “Expect the unexpected” and the date 02/09/2017 appears on the display along with #HuaweiMobileAI. Now, if you have been following the news lately, then you probably already know that the company was expected to unveil its AI processor soon. The same was teased via their twitter handle as well.

And now that we have a final date for the same, we hope that the company will announce the same AI processor which they have been working on, all this while. As mentioned earlier, the company will be launching it on September 2nd in Berlin, Germany. Richard Yu, the head of Consumer Business Unit at Huawei, is expected to be present at the event addressing the media, etc. Unfortunately, other than this, we don’t really have anything else to say.

The teaser video by itself is not really that informative and the only thing which it says is that the something related to AI is coming on the said date. However, as far as the rumors go, it looks like the AI enthusiasts are in for a treat. This new AI tech is expected to bring in a lot of new features, are we can’t wait to try them out. As far as the other rumored details go, it looks like the new AI chip will be integrated with the new Hisilicon Kirin SoC. But rumor also has it that it could very well be used with other devices as well.
